Europe's major club competitions are reaching their climax and several African players stand on the brink of history.
There is strong representation from the continent in all three European finals, with the six teams involved all having Africans in their ranks.
Chief amongst them are the contingent at Bayer Leverkusen, who are aiming to seal the second part of an 'invincible treble' when they face Atalanta in the Europa League final on Wednesday.
Here, BBC Sport Africa runs down the men who have made key contributions and who could be adding to their trophy cabinets over the next week and a half, including Atalanta's Ademola Lookman and Bayer Leverkusen's Victor Boniface (pictured).

BBC Sport in DublinThe stakes are high for the Europa League final at Dublin's Aviva Stadium - even higher than usual. For Bayer Leverkusen, this is the chance to wrap up part two of a treble - and take them to within 90 minutes of an unprecedented unbeaten season.
For Atalanta, it is the opportunity to lift major silverware for the first time since 1963.
Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen have created headlines around the world with their 51-game unbeaten run in all competitions which has taken them to a first Bundesliga title. This from a club which had only won the 1988 Uefa Cup and 1993 German Cup.
The Spaniard, in his first full season as a senior manager, said: "Our focus is preparing the game, not [as] a special game. We haven’t changed anything. We have played 51 games. The players have understanding. Now is the time to give our best.
"We have been preparing for this moment through the whole year. It’s not just today's job. I have a great team. The players are ready for sure. I have a good feeling it will not be different. We will respect Atalanta but we have confidence in our game."

BBC SportBayer Leverkusen have enjoyed unprecedented success this season, but how much do you know about the players behind their incredible campaign?
Under the leadership of Xabi Alonso, Leverkusen have raced to the Bundesliga title for the first time in their history and reached the finals of the German Cup and Europa League - all without losing a match.
What makes it all the more remarkable is that their 51-game unbeaten run has been achieved without a squad packed with world-famous stars.
Later they face Atalanta in Dublin in the Europa League final, and on Saturday they tackle Kaiserslautern for domestic cup glory.
So who has been key to their success? BBC Sport takes a look at six players who have been instrumental to their performance this season.

BBC Sport in DublinNext to the infamous Dublin-New York portal is a giant Europa League trophy that fans of Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen are queueing up to get a photo with.
Atmosphere is very much building up here in the Irish capital with several hours to go until kick-off.
Also I don’t want to say Irish people are more into this portal than Americans but maybe 300 people were standing around waiting for it to start at 11am Irish time and there was nobody on the NY side.

Sorry but whilst Poch is clearly a good man manager, he was tactically inept at times. Poor defensive structure, badly timed substitutions and capitulation in important games showed he wasn't the man. Never a dull time at the Bridge!

Scotland
Scotland manager Steve Clarke has just finished his media conference, following the unveiling of his provisional 28-man squad for Euro 2024 today.
He concluded on a positive note, saying their aim is to reach the knock-out stage of a major tournament for the first time ever.
"I think they're capable [of reaching the knockouts]. It's a good group of players," he said.
"Our aim is to be as competitive as we can be in all the matches. If we play to the best of our abilities then we could be - could be - the first Scottish team to come out the group stages.
"That would be a magnificent achievement. That'll be the aim."

This year's Champions League final will be at Wembley, while in 2025 it will be played in Munich at the Allianz Arena.

As a Chelsea season ticket holder for the last 35 years, I’m not surprised Poch has gone. Yes we have won our last five, but we rode our luck against Forest, Brighton and Bournemouth.Poch does not know how to set a side up defensively and we have been awful at the back. Poor in-game management, clearly highlighted with the Liverpool and Man City games at Wembley, which we should have won.It was only two months ago that matchgoing fans turned on him big time at Brentford away and Leicester at home. He's a serial loser and where I sit most were saying Sunday it'll be a blessing in disguise if he went.

Mick, Blyth: All these lot obsessing about Newcastle travelling to Oz for a couple of friendlies make me laugh. If they were allowed to spend some money they wouldn't be going, but all we hear is they need to grow their commercial revenues to spend. Well, that is what they are doing. Can't have it both ways.
Danny: If players are fed up with fixture congestion then why not go on strike? They have all the power.

Not sad to see Pochetino go at all. The last 5 games and Cole Palmer have papered over the very large cracks in the team. Remember this is our worst season defensively for many years!
Dan, Sheffield
While I'm extremely disappointed and sad for Pochettino leaving my beloved club, I also have to point out, contrary to some comments here, the players are NOT half decent, they are young and talented though untested in the biggest stage.Pochettino's style, though winning five straight games, isn't convincing. He only signed a two-year contract in comparison to the length of the contract signed by Potter. That doesn't seem long term to me.

Why 28 players?published at 12:45 22 May

Scotland head coach Steve Clarke: "The make-up of the squad and the number of players - I've probably got half a dozen who are not playing regularly or coming back form injury. So it's just to go a little bit bigger and give us more breathing space.
"We can take a look at them over our 10 days together in the pre-camp. That was the thinking behind the 28.
"26 will go to the Euros and two will miss out. That's unfortunate but such is the life of a head coach, you've got to make those decisions.
"One or two are on a return to play over the 10 days and two friendlies. So it's just to buy a little time."
