Dick is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Margie (Olsen) Rasmussen, children Randy (Mary) Rasmussen, Tim (Kathryn) Rasmussen, Molly (Brad) White, seven grandchildren: Karley (Chris) King, Anna and Jillian Rasmussen, Hunter, Jake, Parker, and Maggie White, sisters Carol Thompson, Judy (Keith) Lange, and brother Don (Candy) Rasmussen. Dick graduated from St. John’s University in Collegeville. Upon graduation he was commissioned an officer in the U.S. Army. He retired as a Captain after 12 years of service. He worked in the agriculture business as plant manager for International Multi Foods, Minneapolis, and Vigortone Ag Products, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Throughout his Army and business careers, Dick and his wife lived in eight states and 14 different cities, recently moving to Canton, Ohio this past year. Dick enjoyed his family, grandchildren and friends and being involved in their activities. He also liked making improvements around the inside and outside of the house. Spending time outdoors was a favorite pastime and also golfing with friends. Repairing and woodworking were relaxing times spent in his work shop.
